• 6 high-quality Policy Papers focus on the Brexit impact,
• and every day at least one, but most of the time by far more than one Facebook- and Instagram postings.
• Our President and other board members of the ABS had several TV appearances, as they have been asked for their comments on current UK related issues.

PRESIDENTIAL MESSAGE

• "SAFETY FIRST" IST UNSER MOTTO!
• Unter keinen Umständen wollen wir ein Teil des gesellschaftlichen Lebens sein, der die neugewonnene Freiheit durch Unvorsichtigkeit oder Fahrlässigkeit gefährdet!
• Wir gehen mit dieser Freiheit wertschätzend und in höchstem Maße sorgfältig um, denn es geht um Sie als unsere Mitglieder, um Ihre Gesundheit und damit um unser aller Wohlbefinden!

• Ich als Präsident übernehme die Verantwortung als ABS-Covid-Beauftragter und sorge daher mit aller gebotenen Vorsicht, aber auch Konsequenz, für die Einhaltung der gesetzlichen Maßnahmen.
• Es wird ein eigenes Covid-Präventionskonzept für jedes ABS-Event ausgearbeitet und mit dem Location- bzw. dem Veranstaltungspartner abgestimmt und bei den Behörden zeitgerecht eingereicht.
• Wir sorgen für die Umsetzung dieses Konzepts, um Ihnen die maximale Sicherheit zu bieten. Das betrifft u.a.
  • Die strikte Einhaltung der maximal möglichen TeilnehmerInnen-Zahl.
  • Ohne Anmeldung, keine Teilnahme!
  • Strikte Kontrolle der Getestet-Geimpft-Genesen-Voraussetzungen beim Einlass!
  • Lückenlose Registrierung beim Einlass!
  • Ausnahmslose Fixplatz-Zuteilung bei Events, wo dies notwendig und gefordert ist.
  • Laufende Kontrolle während des Events zur Einhaltung der Maskenpflicht sowie der Abstandsregeln.

ABS EVENTS

• Eine exklusive Weinverkostung beim Süßweinpapst Gerhard Kracher, dem vermutlich berühmtesten Winzer Österreichs in Illmitz, mit Barbecue, Kellertour, Kutschenfahrt durch die Weinberge und Verkostung.

• Wir begrüßen Dr. Bernd Zierhut, CEO Doppler Mineralöle, am ABS-Podium. Die Politik hat für Österreich Verbote von Verbrennungsmotoren und Ölheizungen angekündigt. Ist dieses Vorhaben standortfreundlich, bürgernah und sozial gerecht? Wäre nicht eine Klimapolitik mit Augenmaß, die Förderung von synthetischen Brenn- und Kraftstoffen und dem Schwerpunkt auf Innovationen statt Verboten zielführender? Diese und ähnliche Fragestellungen beantwortet unser prominenter Gast!

• After gathering in Vösendorf, we drive to Sparbach Nature Park, to the Kogelhof Bison Breeding in Laaben and will experience a presentation of original English vintage David Brown tractors in Pressbaum. Only British vehicles are allowed, whether old or new, own or borrowed, but at least roadworthy. In honour of Sir David Brown, all guests who drive an Aston Martin sports car will receive a surprise prize from the private wine cellar.

• Bereits traditionellerweise finden sich die Member der ABS im wunderschönen Schlosspark ein, um edle Pferde, entspannte Stimmung und spannende Polo-Matches zu genießen. Starwinzer Willi Opitz (ABS corporate member) wird die Gäste mit einer Wein- und Sekt-Verkostung verwöhnen, wir werden eine persönliche Begrüßung durch Baron Richard Drasche-Wartinberg (Präsident des Polo Club Ebreichsdorf und der Austrian Polo Association) erleben und ABS-Boardmember Jochen Ressel wird mit seiner Poloerfahrung die Spiele kommentieren und einen Einblick in das Regelwerk dieses spannenden Sports geben.

GREAT BRITISH CUISINE

• CAKE:
  • 1/2 teaspoon butter for greasing the pan
    8 ounces Rich tea biscuits or sweet cookies
    4 ounces unsalted butter, softened
    4 ounces granulated sugar
    4 ounces dark chocolate
    1 egg
• ICING:
  • 8 ounces dark chocolate for coating
    1-ounce chocolate for decoration

1. Lightly grease a 6-inch-by-2½-inch cake ring with the butter and place it on a tray on a sheet of parchment paper.
2. Break each of the biscuits into almond size pieces by hand and set aside.
3. In a large bowl, combine the butter and sugar until the mixture starts to lighten.
4. Melt the 4 ounces of the dark chocolate and add to the butter mixture, stirring constantly.
5. Add the egg and beat to combine.
6. Fold in the biscuit pieces until they are all coated with the chocolate mixture.
7. Spoon the mixture into the prepared cake ring. Try to fill all of the gaps on the bottom of the ring because this will be the top when it is un-moulded.
8. Chill the cake in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours.
9. Remove the cake from the refrigerator and let it stand.
10. Meanwhile, melt the 8 ounces of dark chocolate in a double boiler or saucepan on the stovetop over low heat. Slide the ring off the cake and turn it upside down onto a cake wire.
11. Pour the melted chocolate over the cake and smooth the top and sides using a palette knife.
12. Allow the chocolate to set at room temperature.
13. Carefully run a knife around the bottom of the cake where the chocolate has stuck it to the cake wire and lift it onto a tea plate.
14. Melt the remaining 1 ounce of chocolate and use it to decorate the top of the cake.
